The SubSurface Instruments Waterproof Magnetic Locator ML-3S is a professional short-format magnetic locator engineered for accurate underground ferrous metal detection in demanding environments. Measuring 40 inches in length, the ML-3S offers lightweight one-handed operation while maintaining rugged durability for utility locating, surveying, water/sewer operations, and infrastructure maintenance.

The ML-3S is fully waterproof and IP68 certified, allowing operation in difficult weather conditions and underwater environments up to approximately 220–250 feet.
